A day of fishing in Singapore

Hello readers!

Been not blogging as I really do not know what to blog.
So ya!
Got to know something but I know i have to move on and know that there are other boundless opportunities out there for me to get and achieve.
Well ya, so today went fishing at Changi Ferry Terminal there.
I forgot to take pictures. But these are my catch for the day.
2 Stingrays that is this kind

And 2 Sea Bass or in common fishing language ' kinbalo'

This babes i think around 2-3kg. Big eh? hehe. But let go the stringrays though.
The day started out at 11.35am at Changi Ferry Terminal and it was really hot and the tide was going lower.
It's good because when low tide the fishes will be more agressive thus more bites.
Out of the blue, it rained. Luckily, no lighting if not cannot continue fishing.
Then rain turned into drizzle, its a good time to fish. This is when all the bites keeps reeling in. Actually i caught few other fishes but 'baby' ones haha.
Well, i dunno what else to talk about the fishing but I can say overall had a very fun and good experience because the bites were good and not too little. FISHING IS ABOUT LEAVING YOUR COMFORT ZONE AND PATIENCE.

Hmm okay how about i give some small tips on fishing?
1) Use live prawn for fishing big fishes as it is the best live bait. You may not get bites as Singapore as you know, many natural habitat of marine life is being destroyed but slowly and surely fishes are coming back(hopefully).
2) If you want to fish for small fishes, using squid is the best. Buy the whole squid from the market, and let me emphasize DO NOT BUY KEMBONG, it is orange in colour Squid is in white and purplish-pinkish colour. Kembong is a very bad bait as it is not so smelly but only good for certain type of fishing. Okay, let me tell you squid is very smelly so you have to bare it while fishing. But it is good for small fishes.
3) Small(cut) prawn. This means you have to cut the live(best) or dead prawn into pieces. Like divide up the body, i know it may be cruel but if you're keen on catching some fish, this is good. Furthermore, it can also be real smelly. So bare it too. This cut prawn pieces are usually for small fishes of certain kind too. It's good too.
4) Using worm as bait can be used as a variety. As I've mentioned, it can be used for both small and big fishes which will depend on the size of hook you're using.
5) If you're a beginner, go along with a friend, google the techniques or ask the fishing store retailer. They will tell you how to tie hook, set up gear, etc.
6) Good fishing spots. I don't like revealing but i can give you two spots. One is Changi Ferry Terminal(the place will be like a forest) and Bedok Jetty. Changi Ferry Terminal is good but there are lots of mosquitoes so prepare some mosquito repellent, coil and even if you're hardcore against bugs, get a bug spray :) Bedok Jetty doesn't have mosquitoes but if you fishing at day it'll be very hot so you have to fishing in the night-morning. The place either you can easily catch Taman or other small fishes. If you want to land a big catch there, you have to know which fish live in which depth of the water. If i remember, barracuda lives in the shallow depth(you need to use a special kind of float to let your bait stay not too near but shallow to the surface),the popular queenfish around mid-depth(special kind of float too with a different asting style and setting up of gear to let the bait sink not too deep and float not too shallow thus shallow) while groupers, some other or even sharks live at the bottom depth so yeah that you can use sinker but usually bottom depth not too many fishes nowadays.

Grouper

Squid

Barracuda

Prawn(Grey Prawn)

QueenFish

I think that's about all, i should not spoonfeed, you should go google, go along with a friend or ask the fishing store retailer or any other methods you may know.
